Current Gallery: thegreekplaybook ( piece)
This series re-imagines characters from ancient Greek myth and the 5th century Athenian Greek stage. I created these works keeping in mind that David Grene, renowned translator of the Greek playwrights, Aeschylus and Sophocles, considered there to be striking parallels between Athenian culture and our own. With luck we may ultimately distinguish ourselves from Athens and sidestep a fall through over-reaching.
