ABSTRACT TREE IMPRESSIONS. The ABSTRACT TREE IMPRESSIONS Series is very diverse in make-up: Some of the images are simply photographs of tree branches, and other photographs are of mirrored tree artworks. The key of this series is that the tree subjects DO NOT need to be tack-sharp so that individual leaves need to be seen in all detail. The idea of this series is more psychological in nature: It is about Impressionism. As a viewer, you see the branches, and you see the green bunches and you instinctively know this is a tree. You know by experience of seeing many, many trees that the subjects in these photographs are obviously trees. This is very psychological because with many visuals in our daily life, you do not need to see fine-details to know what something is: Through experience and interaction with subjects in nature, you can see something from a distance, and you already know what it is without seeing all the fine-details. Therefore, the same psychological effect was used and focused upon with this ABSTRACT TREE IMPRESSIONS Photography Series. [AKA—Ambidextrous Abstract Trees].
