DIRTY WALLS ARE INTERESTING! My "Penang Wall Decay" Collection is an abstract look at a 'thing' that most people just ignore - dirty, mouldy, cracked, and decaying urban walls. Most people do not stop for even a minute to examine urban walls closely: I do! I find the wall textures, colours, and designs very fascinating. I look at urban walls from a macroscopic-level, so I get very close to the walls with my eyes, and with my camera. I design abstract artworks using my camera. That is how I see these interesting walls, as abstract pictures. One of the funniest things about this type of photography has nothing to do with the photography - it is psychological. People will stop and stare at me, and they must be wondering, "What is this guy looking at, and why is it worth photographing?" I can not exactly tell you why I find decaying urban walls photographically interesting. However, I can show you; accompanying this collection description, I have added one of my Penang Wall Decay, images.
